Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-09-02. This describes what Timemazone actually does today — it will change as the product changes.

The short version

Timemazone works without an account. We do not ask for your name, email, or any personal information to use the world clock, converter, meeting planner, timers, or countdowns. There is currently no login, no server-side database of your data, and no advertising.

What’s stored, and where

  • Your saved cities and preferences (the cities on your world clock and the order you put them in, your home city, 12/24-hour format, working hours) are stored only in your browser’s local storage. They are never sent to our servers.
  • The last few cities you looked up (at most six) are kept in the same local storage, so the search box can offer them again. Only the city is kept — never what you typed.
  • Shareable links — for the world clock, converter, meeting planner, and countdowns — encode your chosen state directly in the URL itself. Opening a shared link does not create an account or a server-side record, and does not change anything already saved in your browser; the link contains everything needed to reproduce what you shared.
  • Standard web server logs (such as IP address and request timing) may be recorded temporarily by our hosting provider for security and reliability, as is normal for any website.

Analytics

Timemazone counts page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not build a profile of you or follow you to other sites. Each page load reports the address of the page, the site that linked you here if there was one, and how quickly the page loaded.

We use it to see which pages people find useful. It is the only third-party service this site contacts — fonts, city data and every tool run on our own servers or in your browser.

Third-party data sources

City and time zone data displayed on this site comes from the IANA Time Zone Database and GeoNames — see our attributions page for details. This is public reference data, not information about you.

Cookies

We do not currently use cookies for tracking or advertising. Your browser’s local storage (used for saved preferences, described above) is not a cookie and is not sent to our servers.

If this changes

Features like accounts, advertising, or paid plans are not part of Timemazone today. If we add them, they will come with an updated privacy policy describing exactly what changes and why — not a silent change to this page.

Who runs this, and how to reach us

Timemazone is a personal project operated by Vũ Duy Kiên, an individual based in Vietnam — not a company. For anything about this policy, your data, or the site in general, write to hello@timemazone.com.

Because the site stores nothing about you on a server, there is no account to delete and no records to request. Anything Timemazone has saved is in your own browser, and clearing your browser data removes it.
