Privacy Policy

The short version

Timemazone works without an account. We do not ask for your name, email, or any personal information to use the world clock, converter, meeting planner, timers, or countdowns. There is currently no login, no server-side database of your data, and no advertising.

What’s stored, and where

• Your saved cities and preferences (favorite cities, 12/24-hour format, working hours) are stored only in your browser’s local storage. They are never sent to our servers.
• Shareable links — for the converter, meeting planner, and countdowns — encode your chosen state directly in the URL itself. Opening a shared link does not create an account or a server-side record; the link contains everything needed to reproduce what you shared.
• Standard web server logs (such as IP address and request timing) may be recorded temporarily by our hosting provider for security and reliability, as is normal for any website.

Analytics

Timemazone does not currently send data to any third-party analytics provider. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy first to name the provider and explain what it collects.

Third-party data sources

City and time zone data displayed on this site comes from the IANA Time Zone Database and GeoNames — see our attributions page for details. This is public reference data, not information about you.

Cookies

We do not currently use cookies for tracking or advertising. Your browser’s local storage (used for saved preferences, described above) is not a cookie and is not sent to our servers.

If this changes

Features like accounts, advertising, or paid plans are not part of Timemazone today. If we add them, they will come with an updated privacy policy describing exactly what changes and why — not a silent change to this page.
